Betty Reese Hendrix was born April 2,1940 to Trumer & Magdalene Reese in Ft. Payne, Alabama. Mrs. Hendrix went to be with the Lord after a tragic accident on May 25, 2021.
Betty moved to Tyler in 1950 where she attended Tyler ISD. On March 20, 1970 Betty married the love of her life James “Pat” Hendrix, & the two moved to Bullard, Texas.
Mrs. Hendrix worked as a pattern grader for R.L. Davis manufacturing before becoming a cosmetologist July 11, 1979. Betty owned her own beauty shop in Bullard & worked as a Beautician until she retired at the age of 63. Betty was a loving wife, mother, & grandmother who will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Pat Hendrix, Son-Harold Bass Jr of Bullard. 2 Step - Sons Patrick & wife Cheryl Hendrix of Troup, Mike & wife Joyce Hendrix of Tyler. 3 Sisters-Evelyn Roberts of Midlothian, Virginia, Dellene Shirley of Muskogee, Oklahoma, & Patricia Frantum of Ft. Worth. 1 Brother-Truman & wife Sherry Reece of Tyler. 5 Grandchildren-Jarrod & wife Amber Finley of Bullard; Amberr & husband Matt Hester of Bullard; Magan Hendrix of Tyler; J.P. Hendrix; & Brooks Parham both of Bullard. 6 Great - Grandchildren-Hayden Finley, Avery Clayton, Trey Clayton, Bodee Hester, Brantleigh Hester all of Bullard, & Faith Evans of Tyler.
Mrs. Hendrix is preceded in death by her parents Trumer & Magdalene Reese, her 1st born son Ben “Allen” Finley, Daughter-in- Law Ronda Finley, & sister Benita Martin.
Memorial Service & Celebration of Betty Reese Hendrix will be held Friday June 4th at Flint Community Church @ 1:00 pm. Flint Community Church is located at 11019 County Road 174 Bullard, Texas 75757
