Billy Joe Landfair passed from this world to be with his Lord & Savior on July 23, 2021 in Tyler, TX at the age of 84. His son, Billy Landfair was with him at the time of his passing.
He was born April 29, 1937 in Roswell, New Mexico to Jasper Norman Landfair and Mary Elizabeth Bishop. He married Evelyn Bernice Barron February 22, 1958 in Midland, TX. Bill was a Metal Lather and Sheet Rocker in Midland and San Angelo, TX and Roswell, New Mexico and in Tyler, TX after moving here in 1967. He retired in 1983 and started his own Lawn Mower repair business.
Bill enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, he was an avid gardener – vegetable and flower, and he just loved being busy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bernice in 2000, his son Loy Dean in 2020 and all of his siblings with the exception of one brother.
He is survived by his brother Jessie Landfair, San Angelo, son Billy Wade Landfair & wife Tina, grand-daughters Jennifer Landfair, Laryssa Terry, Jessica Byrd, great-granddaughters Ashlyn Howard, Sidney Boone, Alexis Landfair and Addisyn Byrd.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 29th, from 6 to 8 pm at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Bullard, TX. Graveside service, officiated by Monty McCree, will be Friday, July 30th, 10 am at Bascom Cemetery, Tyler, TX. Honary Pall-Bearers will be Billy Wade Landfair, Monty McCree, Dennis Sarver, Kenneth Baker, Kyle Harris, Michael Hanewalt and Stephen Hanewalt.
Billy Joe was loved by his family and many friends and will be greatly missed.
