Daniel was born December 14, 1982, in Tyler, Texas, and died on February 19, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee. Although he moved around, his home was always in Rusk.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy Guinn, of Rusk; his father, Bobby Mims of Tyler; his brother, Ben Mims, of Rusk; his sister, Temple Gutierrez, of Tyler; his nieces, Liliana Mims of Rusk and Eliza Kate Gutierrez of Tyler; and his special daughter, Zoey Dunham of Tyler.

He is survived by aunts and uncles: Gloria Jennings, Terry Guinn, Charlene Guinn, Wayne & Toni Guinn, Dixie & Bill Mayall, Donna & Bucky Eckols, David & Marylee Mims, Margaret Moody, and Billie Sue & Billy Mims.

Daniel leaves his many cousins and countless friends.

Daniel attended school in Rusk and was always interested in art. He completed his tattoo apprenticeship in Lufkin and worked at many shops in Texas and Alaska. He did guest appearances in shops across the country.

His many friends can attest to his acts of kindness, especially during times of grief. He was always available to help his friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Earle's Chapel United Methodist Church, Jacksonville, Texas - on Sunday 2/26/2023, to begin at 1:30pm. A visition will be held at the church pruior to the service to begin at 1:00pm.  Interment will be at Earle's Chapel Cemetery. Officiating will be the Reverend T.J. Gableman.
