David Pride Ratliff was born on September 12, 1952 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and passed away peacefully in his home following a courageous battle with leukemia on March 30, 2023.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 from 6 pm-8 pm for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Charles Ratliff and Marcia Doris Bryner Ratliff as well as his brother, Gary Steven Ratliff. His survivors include his sister, Mary Christine Lloyd and her husband Dr. Scott M. Lloyd; six children, Jennifer Marie Browning of Tyler, TX, Jeremiah David Ratliff and wife Brittney of Quitman, TX, Jaclyn Nicole Ratliff of Tyler, TX, Jeremy Daniel Shipp and wife Amanda of Enterprise, AL, Jacob Ryan Ratliff and wife Katelynn of Georgetown, TX, and Jordan Elizabeth Ratliff of Tyler, TX and five grandchildren, Jonathon David Browning, Serenity Marie Browning, Aidan Lee Vann, Abby Renee Shipp, Caleb Daniel Shipp, and Jaxon Hunter Ratliff.
He worked as a License Vocational Nurse for over 20 years where he made a tremendous impact on his patients and colleagues. David loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He loved the outdoors and spent his free time hunting and fishing. He was an accomplished artist and his love for wildlife was reflected in his art. He was so loved and will be forever missed.
