With family near, Douglas Wayne Coats passed from this life to meet his Lord in the earlymorning hours of September 10, 2021 in Tyler, TX.

Doug was born September 14, 1968 in Nacogdoches, TX to Jerry and Judith King Coats. Hegrew up in Appleby and attended school in Garrison. For the past 20 years, he resided in Bullard,TX. Doug was a friend to many and maintained contact and connections with many childhoodfriends into the present day. He loved animals. He loved all sports. He had total recall of statsof all players on all teams across multiple sports.

Loving and loved, Doug is survived by his mother, Judith King; father and his wife, Jerry &Barbara Coats; daughter, Laci Hairgrove (Trent); grandchildren, Laynli and Kase; sister, KimHancock (Melissa); nieces Zoe Hancock (Kyle) & Payton Hancock; grandmother, Thelma King;former wife, Angela Roper; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
