Fredric “Fred” Lee Hendrix, Jr., passed away February 10, 2024 in Tyler, TX at the age of 81.
He was born to Fredric Sr. and Marcella Hendrix on September 6, 1942 in Houston, TX.
January 1960, Fred joined the United States Air Force and served 20 years until retirement in January 1980. While in the military, he served as a Fabrication and Parachute Supervisor and received multiple medals, ribbons, and awards.
Fred was a long-time member of Dean Baptist Church, Tyler.
Fred loved classic Rock and Roll and he passed that love of music on to granddaughter Kristy and others. In his final hours this side of Heaven, we listened to The Eagles, The Old Rugged Cross and You Know My Name. Fred knew his Lord and Savior and knew he would be healed when he entered Heaven.

He is survived by: His wife of 32 years JoAnn Hendrix, daughter Kim Hendrix, stepdaughter Jodi Swonke (husband Joey), grandchildren Kristy Fowler (husband Justin), Jade McCoy (husband Dustin), Jace Swonke, Jaron Swonke, Kaylee Fowler, Haven McCoy, Conner McCoy, Haley Raabe (husband Barrett), Layne Raabe, Sarah Grace Raabe, Carly Smith, Kayla Long and family, Cassidy Barbee and family, special friends Tops and Carolyn Montoya, Michael Nolan, and Mr. Loranza Lockhart.
