GayNell Jones Woods was born on November 10, 1928 in Dialville, Texas. She passed away on December 14, 2020 of extended illness. GayNell was raised in a loving Christian home on a farm near Dialville with her parents and six siblings. GayNell was a graduate of Dialville High School. She married Morris Othaneil Wiggins after high school and moved to Wigginsville, Texas. She had two children, Vinson O’Neil Wiggins and Wanda Jean Wiggins. She married the second time to Marvin “Bobby” Woods. During their marriage, Bobby was in the Air Force. The Air Force sent them many places within the United States and overseas. In 1972, Bobby retired from the military and they returned to GayNell’s hometown. GayNell was a housewife and homemaker as well as involved in several businesses, including being an Avon Lady. She was a member of Dialville United Methodist Church, where she served as Secretary/Treasurer for 35 years. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and granny. She loved taking care of her family and loved to teach her grandchildren and great grandchildren about Jesus and many things that she shared with them, including her love of music. She taught them how to dance to records and loved watching them do gymnastics in the living room. Her love of children has always bridged the age gap as she related to children of all ages. Her love of her family and friends is always evident in the things that she would do. She will be missed by many, until they are reunited again with Christ. Funeral Services will be Friday, December 18, 2020, at 11:00 A.M. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with burial to follow in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
