Guy Melvin Newburn Jr. was born Jan. 08, 1949 and went to be with the Lord May 21, 2021. He was born at Newburn Hospital in Jacksonville to parents Guy Melvin Newburn Sr. and Cleo Bond Newburn. He worked overseas for AMF Tuboscope and retired from Entex Gas Company. He was also a farmer and rancher and very talented singer/songwriter and guitar player. He will missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Cleo McCormick Newburn, brother Oscar Newburn, children Chemaine Newburn, Christopher (Elizabeth)Newburn, Andrea Newburn, Seren “Bink” Newburn and step-daughter Teresa (George) Jones. Grandchildren Alora Compton, Brandon Guy Newburn, Mary-Faith Reynolds, Keifer Newburn and Allison (Jerson) Calderon, Christi (James) Cheshire, Daniel Jordan .He had one brand new great granddaughter, Harper Grace Calderon. Graveside service to be held Tuesday May 25th at old Bullard Cemetery across from the middle school. Service at 2pm with graveside visitation at 1:30pm.
