Jack Everett Cameron, age 87 of Rusk, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Angelina House Assisted Living Community in Jacksonville, Texas. He was born December 23, 1934, in San Antonio, Texas to John Boyd Cameron and Dorothea Holmgreen Cameron.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jeanette Temple Cameron, Daughter In Law Angela Mayfield Cameron, and great grandson Cameron Jake Hallford.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Ann Cameron, daughter and son in law, Toni and Brad Smith, daughter Georgia Cameron, son and daughter in law, Mitchel and Sheri Cameron, “adopted” son Efrain Linares, granddaughter Rachel Cameron and husband Mike Garrett, grandson Cameron Hallford and wife Ashli Hallford, grandson Taylor McIntyre and wife Ashley McIntyre, grandson Caleb Hallford and Maddie Powell, grandson Carson Hallford and Mariah Yancy, and great grandsons, Hudson Blake Hallford and Brayden Taylor McIntyre.
He is also survived by his very special care giver and “adopted” daughter, Keisha Foreman, as well as the entire Angelina House Staff. Our family witnessed the love and care that each and every staff member provided and want to extend our gratitude to all of you. We also want to recognize and thank Choice Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care. A special thank you to Pam Dean, who went above and beyond in the care of our Dad.
It would be remis of us to not include as survivors his former students at Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, Texas where he taught for 30 years. These students are known as “Cameron’s Troops”. Their lives were profoundly affected by the teachings of Jack Cameron.

Prior to teaching he had a distinguished military career. He also acquired multiple degrees, attending LeTourneau University, Texas A & M University, and The University of Texas at Austin.
When not teaching, he was an accomplished aeronautical engineer, employed at Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Ashida Aircraft, Chrysler Aerospace, and Swearingen Aircraft. He was also a fixed wing, and rotary wing pilot.
