Janai King passed away August 27, 2024 in a Tyler hospital. She was born October 9, 1979 in Houston, Texas to James and Janet King and moved to the Overton area in 1985 from Katy, Texas. Janai loved spending time with family and friends and loved her dogs. She taught us all how to love unconditionally and to never give up hope no matter what the cicumstances may be. 

She is survived by her eldest son; Jordan King and Emily, daughters; Darrian and Emma; newborn son Isai King; parents James and Janet King; sister Jana Jaye and husband Robert Smith; neices Gracie Campbell, Lexi and Breann King; nephews Colton Campbell and wife Lindsey, Dylan Campbell and Ashleigh, Seth King, and Cody and wife Ashley King.

Janai is preceeded in death by her brother Jarrod King; neice Zoe King; and grandparents Jay and Winnie Carson of Overton, Texas; and Ed and Novell King of Bogota, Texas.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of East Texas and Christus Mother Frances Hospital, especially the Labor and Delivery Staff as well as the Oncology Staff for their loving and compassioate care that Janai received in her final weeks of life.
