Janeva “Jan” Burleson Robertson, Bullard, Texas, passed away on July 7, 2020 from a short illness. She was born January 21, 1955 in Longview, Texas. She graduated from Hughes Springs High School in 1973 and earned a bachelor’s degree in Education (Home Economics) from Stephen F. Austin in 1977. She lived in East Texas most of her life where she worked as a teacher. Her passion was teaching culinary arts, and she made a lasting impact on her students. Mrs. Robertson was a retired teacher who taught for Tyler ISD, Palestine ISD, Bullard ISD, and La Poyner ISD. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Bullard where she was involved in Sunday School and women’s Bible study. Mrs. Robertson’s hobbies included sewing, culinary arts, and spending time with her granddaughters. Mrs. Robertson was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kristin Robertson of Bullard; one daughter and son-in-law, Kristy and Manny Hernandez of Newalla, OK; four granddaughters, Ashley Hunter of Edmond, OK; Kelsey Robertson of Troup; Kim Factor of Oklahoma City, OK; and Kassidy Robertson of Bullard, TX; two great-grandchildren, Henley Beekman and Kace Factor of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother Gary Burleson of Diana, TX; one sister and brother in law, Judy and Butch Wheeler of Greenville, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by Jerry Robertson, husband; JA Burleson, father, and Neva Burleson, mother. Memorials may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in her name.
