Jean Warren Melton passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at the age of 81 in Tyler, Texas. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of her passing. Jean was born in Rayville, Louisiana to parents Emma and Louis Warren Sr.

Jean is survived by her daughter Alicia Mobley, her spouse Jerry Farris, her sister Madeline Darnell (WT Darnell) and her sister Rita Charlene Ducharme (Bruce Ducharme), as well as her many beloved nieces and nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded by her Mother and Father, sister Ethel Kerry, sister Margaret Huffman and her brother Lou Warren.

Jean attended Holly Ridge High School in Louisiana, then later moved to San Francisco, CA where she attended School of Universal Living in 1960. She thrived in the city, learning and conquering new things. She married at the age of 19 and one year later welcomed her beloved baby girl Alicia into the world.

She went on to live in the Bay Area where she worked in the Banking industry and later in the Real Estate business. Jean was easily able to make friends, learn new things and transition into entrepreneurship. Her strong work ethic, enthusiasm and desire to grow allowed her to be fearless. She was able to solely own and operate a very successful Termite Company, then later expanding and growing the business with her daughter Alicia, who owned and operated the construction company Mobley’s Custom Design. Together they built and enjoyed success in a male dominated world.

She served as president of the Structural Pest Control Board making rules and regulations for her industry in conjunction with CA state legislators. She truly was a pioneer.

She met her husband Jerry in the year 2000. They later married in 2004 and worked together to continue building the company, with Jerry adding and running the pest control services division.

Once retired, they moved to Tyler Texas where they enjoyed each other as well as making many new friends. Together they joined New Life Church and continued their faith in God.

Jean was never afraid to show her emotions, lend a helping hand, give advice, cheer you on and be a shoulder to cry on. There was never a dull moment with her as she loved an adventure, concerts, a day with friends, gatherings with family and kicking up her heels on the dance floor. She was the Queen of Bling and always lived life large and to the fullest!

Her beautiful smile could light up the room and her witty humor could be heard a mile away. She never forgot your story and always kept in touch, never forgetting where you had left off.

There are not enough words to express how much we love and deeply miss her beautiful spirit. She will always be our pride and joy and we will continue to remember and honor her legacy.

Services for Jean Warren Melton will take place on Friday September 20, 2024 at 11:00 am
