JOHN WILSON BURCIAGA

July21,1951-December 21, 2021

John Wilson Burciaga "Papaw" of Gladewater, TX went peacefully to his heavenly home on   December 21,2021.  He was born July 21, 1951 in Houston,TX to Concepcion Mata  and John Wilson Parker. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Lynn Tippens Patterson, mother Concepcion Mata Burciaga, Father John Wilson Parker , sisters Lupe Crowe and Irene Pitts, brothers Albert Burciaga and Manuel Burciaga.  John is survived by his sister Mary Crowe of Trinity,TX, brother Louis Burciaga of Houston,TX, daughters Jevette Burciaga of Gladewater,TX and Jeanetta Mayberry of White Oak,TX. Grandchildren Andrew Matthews, Austin Richardson, Ashlyn Richardson, Michael Carney, and Matthew Burciaga.

John retired from the City of Longview ( Building Inspection Dept.), was a former councilman for the City of Hallsville and the Knights of Columbus.

He enjoyed many sports, watching westerns, fishing, playing cards, local dining, teaching others and spending time with his family.

A memorial mass with reception to follow will be held on January 7,2022 at  3pm
