Mrs. June Laverne Jones, age 87, of New Summerfield, passed away November 8th, 2023. She left this world peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born October 10th, 1936, in Rusk Texas to Iva Mae Langston.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Loris and Mae Work. Also, a granddaughter, Crystal Jones.
She was a loving Wife, Mother and Granny. She retired from many years of work from Baxter. After retirement her and Robert spent over twenty years volunteering their time to Texas Mission Builders, doing the Lord’s work.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Jones. Her three sons and one daughter in law, Bobby Jones, Jimmy Carroll (Laquita) Jones and Michael Clyde Jones. Her five grandchildren, Tiffany Jones, Jacey Jones-Smith (Michael), Joshua Jones (Brandy), Rindi Jones (Matthew) and Brandon Jones (Jana). Numerous Great-Grandchildren and Great-Great-Grandchildren. She also leaves many other family members and friends that will sadly miss her.
Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Willie Langston, Ray Langston, Michael Smith, Dean Jones, and Mark Bobbitt.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Boren-Conner in Jacksonville Texas. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. She will be laid to rest, alongside her parents, at McDonald Cemetery in New Summerfield.
