Paula Gray took life’s first breath in Tyler, Texas on January 23, 1968; She breathed life’s final breath inthe same city on November 26, 2021.
Paula’s youth was spent not only in her hometown of Van, Texas, but also many other places around theworld, especially Saudi Arabia.
While she no doubt could have continued her adventures across the world, she instead decided to settledown with the love of her life and raise her sons, which she considered to be her life’s greatest work.
Paula was so much more than her struggles. Anybody who knew Paula was touched by her kind words,sweet smile, and loving heart. As a waitress at Cracker Barrel she poured her heart into her work andthe many different people she interacted with there. Her co-workers loved her, saying she had thesweetest soul. Customers regularly requested to be seated in her section. Most of all, she poured herwhole heart and soul into her children. From her oldest son’s first breath until Paula breathed her last,her life was devoted to lovingly raising her boys.
She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Martha Brey, and by her husband, James Kelly Gray,with whom she is now reunited.
She is survived and dearly missed by her sons Daniel of Tyler, Travis and wife, Carleigh of El Paso, Kellyand fiancé, Heather of Arp, and Lane of Arp; siblings Jim Brey, Robert Brey and wife, Tammie of Lindale,Ron Brey and wife, Kriss of Van and Mindy Noonan and husband, Todd of Dallas. She is also survived byher beloved Mother-in-Law Lyda Gray of Tyler, many loving extended family, adoring co-workers,devoted church family, and countless friends.
There will be a visitation held on Thursday, Decemebr 2, 2021, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 2:00pm. at Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church - with a viewing to begin at 1:30pm prior to the service. Interment will be at Williams Cemetery.
