A Memorial Service held for Randy Nelson Myers, age 69 of Bullard, Texas, has been scheduledfor 2:00 p.m., November 6, 2021 at Flint Baptist Church in the small auditorium.Randy passed away September 24, 2021, in Tyler, Texas. He was born on October 6, 1951, inTyler to Frances Marie (Chambless) Myers and the late John Nelson Myers. Randy was born inTyler, Texas and grew up in Chapel Hill until he married and moved to Lake Palestine, where hespent the remainder of his life. After graduating from Tyler Junior College with an AA, hefinished his apprenticeship in plumbing and opened his own construction company. Randy builtseveral houses on and around Lake Palestine, including his own as well as the East Lake Store.Having been brought up working in his dad’s rental business, it wasn’t too long before he startedhis own rental business in Shadybrook.Randy enjoyed swimming, fishing, and traveling, and he was an avid golfer until the end of hislife. He served in the volunteer fire department, as a board member in the POA in Shadybrook,and then as president of the POA for several years. He participated in a lot of volunteer workaround the subdivision and was always ready to help someone in need.Randy is survived by his wife, Cathy Rowe Myers, of Bullard, their daughter, Catherine(Amanda) Myers Beasley and husband, Terry of Bullard, his mother, Frances Myers Honakerand husband, Dallas of Flint, his siblings, Mark Myers and wife, Donna of Hawkins, SericeaMyers of Dallas, Lenny Myers and wife, Juli of Flint, and John Myers and wife, Christina ofBullard, his grandchildren, Weston Tompkins and wife, Amy of Jacksonville, (Randy) DuncanMacDuff, Ashton Beasley, and Amera Beasley of Bullard, and great-grandchild, NovemberTompkins of Jacksonville.
