Roberta Roberts

Roberta Roberts, beloved by family and friends, passed away on October 25th, 2023, at the age of 90.  She departed this world surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Born on November 28, 1932 Roberta  was the daughter of A.V. and Hazel Martin, and grew up in Gallatin. She had a career as a beautician and in food service at the Rusk State Mental Hospital.

Roberta was known for her boundless compassion, always putting others before herself and offering a helping hand to anyone in need. She had an infectious smile that could brighten the darkest of days and a sense of humor that could light up any room. Her warmth and empathy left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.

An avid gardener and traveler, Roberta found joy in her garden, working outside, traveling to new locations, and spoiling her grandchildren, and often shared these passions with friends and family. She was a source of inspiration to many, always encouraging those around her to pursue their dreams and live life to the fullest.

Roberta is survived by members of her loving family, including daughter Debra Dill, granddaughter Jennifer Lowe and her husband Richard; grandsons Michael Rudewick, wife Clara,  and Eric Dill, wife Crystina; great grandchildren Hannah, Caitlyn, Conner, Sofia, Michael, EJ, Cinthia, Kalo, Marcus, Kinye, Eric; and three great great granddaughters; and a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold her close to their hearts.

Roberta will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts and memories of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She has found peace and will continue to watch over her loved ones.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Roberta and in sharing stories and memories that have touched our lives, as we remember the incredible person she was.

Viewing will be Monday, October 30th, at Boren Coner Funeral Home in Jacksonville, from 6-8 pm.  A graveside service will occur on Tuesday, October 31st, at Henry Cemetery in Gallatin.

Rest in peace, dear Nanny, and may your spirit find eternal serenity in the arms of the divine. You will never be forgotten.
