Funeral services for Ronda Kay Starr will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Boren-Conner Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. David Jimerson officiating. Cremation will follow the services.
Ronda was born September 5, 1965 in Jacksonville, Texas to J. D. and Denise Minter Mims. She resided in the Jacksonville area her entire life. She passed away at her residence in Gallatin on July 8, 2021 at the age of 55.
Ronda loved arts and crafts and was known for her embroidered pillows. She loved spending time with her family.
Ronda was preceded in death by her parents, J. D. Mims and Denise Minter Mims, and her grandson Caleb Phifer and father-in-law, Gene Starr.
Ronda is survived by her husband, Gordon Starr of Gallatin, mother-in-law, Thelma Starr of Rusk, son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Malley Phifer of Gallatin, three daughters, Jennifer Morris of Gallatin, Brittany and Brian Mangrum
of California, and Rosanna Starr of Gallatin, three sisters, Tamara and Danny Pearson of Jacksonville, Megan and Elgin Morris of Maydelle, and Sharla Phillips of Kilgore, a brother, Randy Zickuhr of Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, nieces, nephews and extended family members. A visitation will be prior to the funeral service at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
