Sue Holloway Clark was born on July 28, 1936 in Corsicana, Texas and passed away February 3, 2022 in Dallas, Texas where she lived the past 5 years. Sue grew up on a farm just outside of Corsicana with 6 older brothers and sisters. She had a God-given ability to play the piano by ear and used that gift to play at various church revivals around East Texas. She attended Baylor University, where she met the love of her life, John Clark. She would joke that she was still waiting for him to ask her to marry him—the next thing she knew, they were engaged to be married. Nonetheless, they eventually landed in Plano, Texas where they built a family together with their two daughters, Janet and Susan, which would end up including an extended family of football coaches and players. The sport was one that Sue quickly grew to love up to her last days. Sue is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Holloway and Lula Reagan, and her siblings, Gladys Sims, Arthur Holloway, Davis Holloway, Morris Holloway, John Holloway, and Marzee Auerbach. She is survived by her husband John Clark, her daughters Janet Marek and Susan Clark, her son-in-law John Marek, her grandchildren Matt and Katie Marek, Mandi and Travis Adams, Rachel and Ben Zieman, and great-grandchildren Barrett, John Brooks, Westley, Lula, and Addi, and numerous nieces and nephews. A service will be held at First Christian Church at 1:00pm followed by her burial at City Cemetery in Jacksonville, Texas on Friday, February 18th.
